Apart from MicroStrategy, since the first quarter of 2026, several publicly traded companies have been continuously increasing their holdings or explicitly holding BTC. These companies are mainly divided into two categories: "Strategic Accumulation" and "Steady Allocation."
🏢 Strategic "HODL" Pioneers (High Activity)
These companies view Bitcoin as a core asset and have been active recently:
Metaplanet (Japan): Known as the "Asian version of MicroStrategy." In Q1 2026, increased holdings by approximately 5,075 BTC, reaching a total of 40,177 BTC. Their target is now 100k BTC, making them the third-largest corporate holder globally.
Trump Media & Technology (DJT): Trump's social media platform. Recently confirmed the formal transfer of 15,000 BTC to "long-term strategic reserves," with a market value exceeding $1 billion, serving as a financial anchor for its decentralized business.
Fold (USA): Bitcoin payment service provider. Announced on April 2nd an addition of 475 BTC (about $41 million), with total holdings surpassing 1,485 BTC, executing a "continuous buy" strategy.
⚖️ Steady Allocation (Low Frequency / Stock Holding)
These companies treat BTC as part of their balance sheet, mainly holding or slightly increasing their positions recently:
Block (SQ): Jack Dorsey's company. Disclosed on February 27th that in Q4 2026, they increased holdings by 340 BTC (about $22 million), continuing their long-term reserve strategy.
Tesla (TSLA): Currently in a "silent hold" state. Did not report any sales in 2026 and still holds approximately 11,509 BTC (worth about $812 million), providing significant stockpile support.
DayDayCook (日日煮): Hong Kong-listed company. Accumulated hundreds of BTC in February and March, using Bitcoin as treasury assets for allocation.
💡 Investor Perspective
Microcosm of "de-dollarization": The active buying by Metaplanet (Japan) and DayDayCook (Hong Kong) reflects a trend among non-U.S. companies using BTC to hedge against local currency devaluation or economic risks.
Political Endorsement: DJT's holdings further tie Bitcoin to political narratives, increasing asset sensitivity.
Institutional Core Holdings: Block and Tesla's "buy-and-hold" or "long-term holding" stance provide stable liquidity and market support.
All data is current as of April 5, 2026. Corporate accumulation is a long-term positive signal but does not equate to short-term price catalysts. Please distinguish between "fundamentals" and "market sentiment."
