Alright, I’ve seen these discussions about aliens and UFOs circulating again, and it reminded me of what Elon Musk said some time ago on Twitter. Basically, the guy debunked the entire conspiracy narrative with a pretty simple reasoning: if aliens really visited us, why are all the videos pixelated and unconvincing? Today, everyone has a decent camera smartphone in their pocket, right? Yet we never see anything clear.
Elon Musk also pointed out another interesting point: the distances between solar systems are ridiculously large. An extraterrestrial spaceship would have to travel such enormous distances that arriving here with a crew alive would be practically impossible with the technology we know. Logic, after all.
Then there’s the Edward Snowden issue, who in 2019 spoke with Joe Rogan and admitted something interesting: despite having access to CIA, NSA, and military databases, he never found convincing evidence of aliens on Earth. But he also said that “there’s probably something unexplainable” — so he doesn’t completely close the door.
Things get a bit more complicated here. The Pentagon has indeed released documents and videos of encounters between pilots and UFOs, and acknowledges that these objects could have extraterrestrial origins. Astronomers, on the other hand, have scanned millions of stars searching for signs of life and... nothing. Zero results.
So, what Elon Musk is basically saying is: without concrete proof, believing in aliens is more a matter of faith than science. The community that supports these conspiracy theories insists that authorities are hiding the truth, but the numbers don’t add up. If there really was alien contact, it would be hard to hide when billions of people have cameras in their pockets.
Anyway, the fact that the Pentagon admits the existence of unexplained phenomena is interesting in itself. It’s not the same as saying “aliens are here,” but at least it recognizes that something doesn’t add up. The search continues, assuming Elon Musk and skeptics are wrong.
