The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China issues a warning about timely updates of specific iOS versions to prevent vulnerability exploitation.
Mars Finance news: On April 3, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Network Security Threat and Vulnerability Information Sharing Platform (NVDB) monitored that an attacker used a vulnerability exploitation tool targeting Apple’s end products to carry out cyberattack activities, which can lead to serious harm such as information theft and system takeover. The affected scope includes Apple end products such as iPhone and iPad running iOS 13.0 to 17.2.1. The attacker, using methods such as SMS, email, or web poisoning, lures users into using the Safari browser to visit webpages containing malicious code, and through a comprehensive exploitation of security vulnerabilities present in the terminal devices, implants a remote control trojan horse into the victim terminal products, steals users’ sensitive information, obtains the highest privileges, and takes control.
