#伊朗标志性桥梁遭轰炸 Iran’s Signature Bridge Attacked, Trump Issues New Threats

On the evening of the 2nd, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on social media that the U.S. military “has not yet begun destroying what remains of Iran,” and that it will next strike Iran’s bridges and power plants.
U.S. and Israel Attack Iran’s Bridge, Causing More Than 100 Deaths and Injuries
On the 2nd, the Beik Road Bridge in Karaj, Iran—known as the highest bridge in the Middle East and a signature engineering project of Iran—was damaged in an attack by the United States and Israel. It is reported that the bridge is a flagship project in Iran’s engineering sector, described as one of the world’s most complex engineering achievements, and it forms part of the core road infrastructure of the Tehran–Karaj Transportation Corridor, whose official operation was originally planned for the near term. According to Iranian media reports, the airstrike killed 8 civilians and left another 95 people injured. The attack damaged the bridge’s main structural body, and the relevant sections have been fully closed off. The local government issued an emergency alert, urging the public to avoid the area. The attack also led to a disruption of electricity supply in parts of Karaj.
After the attack, President Trump posted a video on social media, claiming the airstrike had destroyed Iran’s “largest bridge,” saying the move was intended to pressure Iran to “reach an agreement” with the United States.
In response, Iran’s Foreign Minister Aragchi said that destroying civilian facilities would not force Iran to surrender; such actions only show the failure and morale collapse of the “chaotic enemy.” He emphasized that every bridge and building that is destroyed will be rebuilt—and will be “even stronger”—and that the established fact that “America’s position has been damaged” will be irreversible.
