China and Pakistan have proposed a five-point initiative to restore peace and stability in the Gulf and Middle East regions.

ME News message, March 31 (UTC+8): Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Political Bureau member and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks in Beijing with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar. The two sides exchanged views on the situation in the Gulf and the Middle East region and put forward the following proposals: 1. Immediately stop hostilities; 2. Resume talks as soon as possible; 3. Ensure the safety of non-military targets; 4. Ensure the safety of shipping lanes; 5. Ensure the primacy of the United Nations Charter. (Source: ODAILY)
