If you know where Iran planted the mines, that's specialized knowledge, you'll have a higher chance of success navigating around them versus you just knowing that mines are in the water which is general knowledge. You'll get blow up many times before learning the correct path...and you might never make it to the correct path.
This is why I think beginners opting to learn from youtube when starting out is a waste of time if they have the means to do otherwise. If that's what you can afford then it's fine. That's how I started but didn't make much progress until I got access to specialize knowledge on some shady website with stolen content that's most likely is not legal(I was desperate). From then it made it easier to connect the dots on my own.
