Been exploring mobile mining lately and honestly, there are way more crypto mining apps out there than I thought. Started with CryptoTab since it's pretty straightforward - just install and hit start, though the referral system is kind of the real money maker if you're into that.
StormGain's another solid option if you don't mind the 4-hour restart thing. The interface is clean and security seems legit, but man, that constant restart requirement gets annoying. NiceHash is what I'd recommend if you're getting serious though - the profitability calculator actually helps you figure out if this is worth your time, and the security is top-notch if you enable 2FA.
Bitdeer's more for the experienced crowd honestly. Multiple crypto options, different investment tiers depending on what you're comfortable with. There's also cloud mining through some major exchanges, but the real talk is that mining on phones is pretty niche now.
Looking at the easier coins to mine in 2024, people are saying Monero (XMR) around $325, Dogecoin (DOGE) at $0.09, Vertcoin, and Ravencoin (RVN) at $0.01 are your best bets. Bitcoin's at $66.12K right now, which tells you something about why phone mining for BTC specifically is kinda pointless - you'd need like weeks of non-stop mining just to get a fraction.
Honestly? If you're thinking about getting into crypto mining apps, do your homework first. The competition is crazy, electricity costs matter way more than people realize, and you need to be real about time investment. But if you've got spare phone battery and just want to mess around with it, nothing stopping you from trying one of these out. Just don't expect to quit your day job or anything.
