Why do you always carry an uncontrollable sense of cowardice? You’re always hesitant, afraid to take action, overly worried about various risks and problems. Clearly, you know that your knowledge and abilities are not inferior to others, but when faced with real opportunities, your first reaction is still hesitation, retreat, and avoidance rather than seizing the moment. From a psychological perspective, this isn’t because you lack ambition; in fact, your inner self is very eager. Your timidity is actually your body’s way of choosing self-protection. Because there’s always a voice inside you saying that once you fully reveal your true self, once everyone sees you, you might face harm or rejection.

When a person’s sense of self-worth is insufficient, and your subconscious always believes that your true self might not be liked by others, you have to be extremely cautious in everything you do. You care about how others perceive you, and you must be even more careful when trying anything unknown, because if the outcome fails, you risk damaging your self-evaluation. If you succeed, you might face even more unknown risks.

So when an opportunity arises, your first reaction is to avoid risk rather than bravely seize the chance. But how can you truly let go? It’s not about giving yourself a pep talk or forcing yourself to be brave; it’s about making your body and inner self firmly believe that you now have the ability to support yourself. When you no longer equate being watched with danger, you’ll realize that your very existence is valuable. You don’t need to prove your worth; you just need to experience it.
