According to Wu, Taiko announced the launch of the Based pre-confirmation feature on the Hekla Testnet. This upgrade enables configurable block time, with the current target set at 2 seconds, which can be further shortened later. Currently, it operates through an Allowlist sequencer, with three open source clients participating: Nethermind, Chainbound, and Gattaca.
