The paper “Tessel: An Optimized Compiler for Encryption Circuits” co-authored by the University of California, Santa Barbara, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the University of Toronto, and the Nubit team has officially been selected for the prestigious global blockchain academic conference SBC’25.

This paper focuses on the efficient compilation optimization of encryption circuits, providing foundational support for on-chain verification systems such as the Bitcoin Thunderbolt, elaborating on the principles of accelerating transactions on the Bitcoin native network, and revealing the Nubit team’s cutting-edge exploration in promoting the programmability and security of the Bitcoin network.

The conference has been established for 10 years and is a technical conference focused on innovation in the Blockchain ecosystem, gathering top researchers and practitioners in the field of Blockchain. SBC 25 will be held from August 4-6, 2025, at UC Berkeley, co-hosted by IC3, CBR (Stanford Blockchain Research Center), and UC Berkeley RDI.
