Odaily Planet Daily News: The Stacks Foundation announced on X that the Nakamoto activation is expected to take place on October 9th. To this end, the Stacks community will hold more than 20 developer seminars around the world, including lectures, live demonstrations, and technical challenges, and participants can win STX.
It was announced recently that the core developers have selected the Nakamoto hard fork block - BTCBlock#864864, which will deploy key improvements by Nakamoto, including fast block and BTC finality.
As part of the Hard Fork, all Node operators should upgrade their Node, and Binaries will be provided about a week before the Hard Fork.
Its supplement also states that core developers are still committed to a secure and reliable release. If necessary, they will reserve the right to choose a new hard fork Block to address issues or investigate network activities. Any updates to the Block will be updated immediately.
