On September 14th, Superfast founder Martin Tromp launched the Solana validation Node at the Teraco data center in Johannesburg. Solana is a fast and scalable blockchain platform that competes with Ethereum. As a Proof of Stake (PoS) system, validation Nodes play a critical role in network security and transaction verification.
Tromp initially deployed the Node in Cape Town, but due to network latency issues caused by submarine cable breaks, it was moved to Johannesburg. Despite being further from the coast, performance has improved at the new location thanks to hardware upgrades.
