SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce: could have helped to clarify the Howey test, but did not do enough herself
Odaily Planet Daily News: FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett revealed that Hester Peirce, a commissioner of the US SEC, expressed partial responsibility for the agency’s interpretation of the Howey test in the Cryptocurrency field. Peirce said, ‘To some extent, this should be attributed to me. What I could have done differently is to help improve legal clarity… This is a warning for other regulatory agencies. I think the SEC and the entire industry have a lot of work to do.’
