Gate News Report, March 21 — According to a senior official on board, over the past week, the Iranian Navy guided an Indian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker through the Strait of Hormuz. After diplomatic negotiations in New Delhi, the vessel was allowed to pass along a pre-approved route. During the crossing, the ship maintained radio contact with the Iranian Navy. Iran recorded the ship’s flag, name, port of origin, destination port, and the nationality of the crew, all of whom are Indian, and guided them along the agreed route. Analysts believe this incident confirms Tehran’s attempt to impose traffic control in the Strait of Hormuz, allowing friendly ships to pass safely while causing other vessels to fear attack.
