In 2025, total venture capital investment in the crypto sector reached $34 billion, doubling compared to 2024.

RWA-2,86%
ETH-3,83%

PANews February 4 News, according to Cointelegraph Research report, the total venture capital investment in the cryptocurrency sector will reach $34 billion in 2025, doubling the $17 billion in 2024. Among them, real-world asset tokenization has become the dominant narrative, with funding in this track exceeding $2.5 billion. The investment logic has undergone a significant shift: institutions prefer projects with sustainable revenue models and clear market fit, leading to later-stage financing, with seed funding down 18% and Series B funding up 90%.

The total market capitalization of tokenized RWA has exceeded $38 billion, making it one of the fastest-growing segments in crypto, but compared to the trillions of dollars in traditional markets worldwide, there is still significant room for growth. Meanwhile, the enthusiasm for financing Ethereum Layer 2 and modular infrastructure has sharply declined, with only $162 million raised in 2025, a 72% decrease from 2024. The report suggests this is due to the saturation of the Layer 2 ecosystem and the full release of investment demand.
