Jin10 data reported on May 19 that a senior official of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), who wished to remain anonymous, stated that the ceasefire talks in Qatar have made no progress. The official claimed that Israel insists on reaching a partial agreement, which includes the release of some detainees, but does not commit to ending the war. On the other hand, Hamas believes that it will only release the remaining Israeli detainees if more Palestinian prisoners are released, a lasting ceasefire is achieved, and the Israeli military withdraws from the Gaza Strip.
