U.S. stocks open: Nasdaq up 0.3%, storage sector leads gains

The Dow fell 0.1%, while the S&P 500 Index rose 0.1%. The storage sector led the gains, with Seagate Technology up about 6%, SanDisk up about 4%, Micron Technology up about 2%, and Western Digital up about 3%. Soleno Therapeutics rose more than 32%; it was reported that Neurocrine will cash-acquire the biotech company Soleno Therapeutics at a price of $53 per share.
