Is There No Bitcoin That's Why It Rose Again? Donald Trump's This Step Will Be Talked About A Lot!
US President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the Treasury and Commerce Departments to create a sovereign wealth fund that could have significant implications for the country’s financial strategy.
Scott Bessent, who accompanied Trump to the Oval Office, announced that the fund is expected to be operational within the next 12 months. While the investment strategy of the fund remains uncertain, its creation raises questions about potential allocations, including whether cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) will play a role.
Howard Lutnick, the nominee for the Minister of Commerce, who is a strong supporter of digital assets, has long advocated for greater integration of crypto into traditional finance. Lutnick is the president of Cantor Fitzgerald, a bond trading giant that serves as a custodian for a significant portion of US government bonds. He has also publicly disclosed his significant personal investments in Bitcoin.
Although BTC is not explicitly mentioned during the signing of the executive order, analysts believe that a sovereign wealth fund could provide a way for the US government to hold digital assets as part of its broader investment strategy.
Following the development, Bitcoin made a sudden move of (BTC) and reversed its decline during the day. At the time of writing this article, it is trading at $101,565.
