Introduction to Gaimin

This module covers the basic concepts of Gaimin, including its decentralized GPU network, the use of GMRX tokens, the digital asset trading market, and the tools provided for game developers.

What is Gaimin?

Gaimin is a Web3 gaming platform designed to help players monetize their unused or underutilized computing power by participating in a decentralized GPU sharing network called gaimin.cloud. In return, they will receive the native cryptocurrency token GMRX.

This mode is achieved by calling the GPU in the player's PC hardware, especially when the user is not playing games, these GPUs are usually idle. The collected computing power will be integrated into centralized cloud infrastructure for tasks such as artificial intelligence (AI) training, video rendering, and blockchain computing.

Gaimin's goal is to become a globally adopted platform, especially targeting around 1.6 billion Windows users worldwide, by providing new sources of income for casual and professional gamers, helping them contribute the powerful processing power needed for a large number of computing tasks.

Components of Gaimin

Decentralized GPU Network

Players can allocate their idle GPU resources to the network to help complete other high-demand computing tasks. Through the Gaimin application, players can decide how much computing power to contribute. The system is designed to ensure that users do not experience a performance drop while continuing to play games.

GMRX Token

The GMRX token is the main currency for trading on the platform, and players can earn GMRX tokens by contributing GPU computing power to the decentralized cloud. Users can use GMRX tokens to purchase various digital assets such as NFTs and Digital Game Assets (DGAs), which can be traded or sold on the platform's marketplace.

In addition to serving as a trading token, GMRX also incorporates some deflation mechanisms for managing its overall supply, including staking and burning:

  • PledgeUsers can lock GMRX tokens in the system to receive rewards;
  • Destroy:Reduce the number of tokens in circulation by permanently removing a portion of the token supply.
In addition, a portion of the platform's revenue will also be used to repurchase GMRX tokens from the market, further supporting the value of the tokens.

Market and digital assets

Gaimin's marketplace provides players with a platform to buy, sell, and trade digital assets, including NFTs and digital game assets (DGAs). Unlike traditional game items limited to specific games, NFTs and DGAs on the Gaimin platform can be used across multiple games, achieving interoperability, giving players more control over their virtual items, and retaining their value even when switching to different games. The marketplace is fully integrated with the GMRX token, allowing users to easily convert their earned rewards into in-game assets or digital collectibles.

Game Developer Integration and Tools

Gaimin provides game developers with the Gaimcraft SDK, a toolkit that allows developers to integrate blockchain functionality into the games they are designing. It supports features such as NFTs, decentralized in-game economies, and cross-platform asset interoperability, without requiring developers to make significant adjustments to existing game engines.

The SDK is compatible with Unreal Engine and Unity, two widely used game engines, which means that developers of all kinds can easily integrate Web3 functionality into their games.

These tools enable developers to create games with player-owned assets, decentralized markets, and reward systems, promoting interaction and monetization through blockchain technology. These features allow developers to provide players with more opportunities for game interaction, whether through gameplay or in-game economic systems.

The value of Gaimin

Gaimin solves some common problems in the gaming and cloud computing industries. In traditional ecosystems, in-game assets are often restricted to a single game, and players have very limited control over their items, unable to transfer, sell, or trade them outside the gaming ecosystem, thus limiting the value of these items.

Gaimin solves this problem by introducing blockchain-based ownership of in-game assets, allowing players to have full control over their digital items, both within and outside of the game. This gives players the opportunity to transfer assets between different games, sell them to other players, or simply keep them as collectibles.

Its decentralized GPU network provides an innovative solution for the growing computing power demands of various industries and developers. For example, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, video rendering, and blockchain technology all require increasingly more computing power, and the cost of obtaining these capabilities through traditional cloud services is often high. Gaimin provides an alternative solution, offering enterprises an economically efficient and scalable source of computing resources.

The platform also follows the widespread application trend of Web3, using decentralized technology to give users greater control and ownership of their digital assets. By creating an ecosystem where players can truly own their in-game items and receive real-world rewards for their gaming activities, Gaimin is driving the development of this trend.
