Biden administration calls for "emergency energy notification" for Bitcoin miners


The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has announced that it will launch a study on the energy use of U.S.-based cryptocurrency mining companies. The request for the study, which will start next week and cover some Bitcoin mining companies, came from the Office of Budget and Administration, which is affiliated to the President's Office, with the title "Urgent collection of data".
