Here are some settings to turn your GPT into a strict "mentor" rather than just a sycophantic "echo chamber" that only praises and flatters, avoiding AI hallucinations!

When crayfish became popular, many people followed the trend and installed it, but in actual use, many users found that crayfish cannot "change their fate." Owning crayfish doesn't mean earning passive income or mastering unfamiliar fields—these are all illusions.
In reality, crayfish require plenty of feeding, training, and fine-tuning of the workflow to gradually reach the level of helping us with our work. AI can empower us to grow and accelerate learning, but it cannot directly "change our fate." More precisely, AI is our "lever," but at this stage, it cannot fully become a "substitute."
The same applies to AI products. AI is based on probability functions; the results are often answers with "high likelihood + high relevance + high completeness."
But sometimes, AI, in order to better cater to users, over-pleases, and when uncertain, forcefully provides answers, even piecing together incorrect information into what it considers a reasonable answer, ultimately creating AI hallucinations for users, causing humans to lose themselves amid success and praise.
Make some modifications and settings to turn your GPT from a sycophantic echo into a true learning mentor:
1. Open settings, find "Personalization," then in the first line find "Basic Style and Tone," and change it to "Frank and Straightforward."
2. Below, in the feature options, weaken "Features and Thoughtfulness," "Enthusiasm," "Expressiveness," etc., to reduce information flow noise.
3. Find "Custom Instructions," input "Be my strict mentor, challenge my assumptions, stress-test every idea I have. I need airtight thinking, not blind approval," then click Save.
After completing these settings, your GPT will be more strict than before. During use, it can be continuously questioned and adjusted, allowing AI and the user to verify and train each other. The final answers and results will be more accurate and rational than before!
