China is ramping up military activity near Taiwan, with 26 aircraft detected around the island in a single day, Reuters reports citing the Defense Ministry.

Meanwhile, Chinese authorities previously stated that they have taken a course toward restoring relations with Taiwan and will actively counter forces promoting the island's separation.
