According to reports, Apple has once again delayed its major upgrade plan for the Siri voice assistant. Since the initial release of Apple Intelligence in 2024, the release date for this AI-enhanced Siri has been repeatedly adjusted. According to the latest report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the delay is due to issues encountered during software testing.

The update, originally scheduled to be released alongside iOS 26.4 in March, will now be rolled out in phases, with some new features potentially delayed until the iOS update in May or even pushed to the iOS 27 release in September.

This upgrade aims to bring Siri closer to the capabilities of current mainstream large language model (LLM) chatbots, allowing users to interact with Siri in a manner similar to ChatGPT or Claude. The underlying support will be provided by Google Gemini.
