On February 10th, Li Chenggang, the International Trade Negotiation Representative and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, met with Somerna, CEO of Westinghouse Electric Corporation. The two sides exchanged views on the development of Westinghouse Electric’s business in China. Li Chenggang stated that Westinghouse Electric has been operating in China for over half a century, achieving mutual success and growth with the Chinese market. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China will further expand high-level opening-up, continuously optimize the business environment, and bring greater development opportunities for foreign-invested enterprises including Westinghouse Electric. He expressed hope that Westinghouse Electric will continue to deepen its presence in the Chinese market and achieve common development. Somerna said that Westinghouse Electric has established long-term cooperation in China, enhancing people’s well-being through energy technology collaboration. The company will continue to deepen cooperation with China, achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, and contribute positively to the development of US-China economic and trade relations.
