Greenland refuses Trump's request to send a hospital ship

Denmark’s autonomous territory Greenland’s Prime Minister, Múte Bourup Egede, stated on social media on the 22nd that Greenland has no intention of accepting the hospital ship that U.S. President Donald Trump proposed to send to the island. Egede emphasized that residents of Greenland can enjoy free healthcare, which is a “fundamental part” of the local society, whereas in the United States, medical treatment costs money. Additionally, Egede stated that the Greenlandic government is open to dialogue and cooperation with the United States but hopes that the U.S. will communicate with respect as a prerequisite.
