Eli Lilly: Teriparatide sales to exceed $36.5 billion in 2025, with total revenue expected to reach $80 billion to $83 billion in 2026

During the reporting period, the company’s revenue reached $65.179 billion, a year-over-year increase of 44.7%; net profit was $20.64 billion, up 94.9% year-over-year. At the same time, Eli Lilly disclosed its full-year 2026 performance guidance, expecting total revenue to be between $80 billion and $83 billion.

Eli Lilly’s performance this time exceeded market expectations, attributed to the strong performance of its Trulicity series of products. Specifically, the sales of the diabetes version of Trulicity reached $22.965 billion, a 99% increase; the weight loss version of Trulicity generated $13.542 billion in revenue, a 175% increase.

According to calculations, Trulicity contributed a total of $36.5 billion to Eli Lilly’s revenue in 2025.

Meanwhile, Trulicity’s competitor, Novo Nordisk’s Semaglutide, had approximately $36.1 billion in revenue in 2025. Previously, the global “King of Drugs,” Merck & Co.'s Keytruda, had sales of $31.68 billion in 2025. Trulicity narrowly edged out by about $400 million, securing the new “King of Drugs” title for 2025 ahead of schedule.

Currently, Eli Lilly is actively expanding the indications for Trulicity. Trulicity has been approved domestically for diabetes, weight loss, and obstructive sleep apnea. On January 29th, the indication for Trulicity for metabolic-associated fatty liver disease was approved by the National Medical Products Administration and included in the list of breakthrough therapies.
