Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Highway Port sets new daily traffic record with over 20,000 vehicle crossings

Driving north to celebrate the New Year is becoming a popular trend among Hong Kong and Macau residents during the Year of the Horse Spring Festival. According to data from the Zhuhai Border Inspection Station of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Border Inspection, from February 15th (the 28th day of the lunar new year) to February 21st (the fifth day of the lunar new year), the number of single-plate vehicles entering and exiting Hong Kong and Macau through the Zhuhai highway port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge has exceeded 100,000 trips, reaching 114,000 trips. Among them, on February 21st (the fifth day of the lunar new year), the number of single-plate vehicles checked and verified by border inspection departments for entering and exiting Hong Kong and Macau first exceeded 20,000 trips in a single day, setting a new record since the implementation of the “Hong Kong car northbound” and “Macau car northbound” policies.
