In January 2026, the cryptocurrency market experienced high volatility, with Bitcoin declining by approximately 10% and Ethereum by about 18%. Amidst this increased selling pressure, Gate’s private wealth management platform’s quantitative strategies maintained solid performance and achieved clear outperformance. From the company’s latest monthly report, the value of stable income strategies in an era of volatility has become evident.

Market Adjustment Due to Monetary Policy Shift

The market turmoil in January was partly driven by intermittent selling pressure resulting from changing expectations of monetary policy. Particularly, as macroeconomic uncertainty increased, market participants’ sentiment worsened rapidly.

Meanwhile, according to Gate’s macro analysis, recent monetary policy signals do not indicate a comprehensive tightening. The mainstream market view still suggests the possibility of two rate cuts this year, and the volatility in January is viewed not as a long-term trend breakdown but as a phase of integration. In other words, short-term adjustments are seen as a natural market correction process.

Outperformance of Quantitative Strategies

In this environment, Gate’s USDT-based quantitative fund generated a 6.7% return over the past year, significantly outperforming major cryptocurrencies during the same period. The performance of individual strategies remains robust.

The Interstellar Hedge (USDT) strategy recorded a monthly annualized return of 5.0%. Both the Quantum Leap (USDT) strategy and the Interstellar Hedge (USDT) strategy have maintained a 100% monthly win rate since inception, demonstrating stability unaffected by market fluctuations.

Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the top 30% of portfolios managed on the platform achieved an annualized return of 4.5% in January. This performance far exceeds the returns of Bitcoin and US Treasury yields during the same period, clearly illustrating the advantage of quantitative strategies. It is during market turmoil that data-driven, emotionless management strategies truly shine through in outperformance.
