What is Bybit Launchpad? It is a platform that allows users to acquire tokens of new projects gaining attention in the blockchain industry before they are listed. Through Launchpad, users can participate from the early stages of promising projects and receive token allocations. This guide explains in detail how to commit using the USDT lottery method and the overall participation rules for Launchpad 3.1.
What is Launchpad — Basic Mechanism
Launchpad is an innovative token launch platform provided by Bybit. Participants can meet certain conditions to commit (invest) in new project tokens and receive token allocations through a lottery system.
Bybit Launchpad offers two methods to commit: Commit with MNT and Use USDT lottery tickets. You can choose either method, but note that you cannot participate in both simultaneously.
The terms of use for Launchpad are reviewed regularly and updated to reflect the latest market environment and security standards.
Eligibility and Basic Requirements
Who can participate in Launchpad?
To participate, you must have completed identity verification (KYC) as either Standard KYC (Individual) or Business KYC. Residents of restricted countries or regions are not eligible.
Important point: KYC must be completed before the start of the commitment period. If you haven’t completed KYC yet, you must do so in advance.
Participation via Sub-accounts
Only main accounts are eligible to participate in Launchpad. Sub-accounts are not supported for participation. However, balances of MNT and USDT, or spot trading volume of sub-accounts, are automatically included in the main account snapshot.
How to Commit with USDT and Minimum Requirements
To participate in the USDT lottery method, your average daily wallet balance during the measurement period must be at least 100 USDT. Fractions below 1 USDT are truncated, so precise management of amounts is important.
During the commitment period, access the Bybit Launchpad page, click “Commit Now,” commit at least 100 USDT, and submit all lottery tickets. After committing, you will wait for the lottery results.
Rules for Calculating Daily Average Wallet Balance
Accounts Subject to Measurement
The daily average wallet balance is calculated based on snapshots taken every hour for the following accounts:
Funding Account
Unified Trading Account (UTA)
The USDT wallet balances in these accounts are recorded based on hourly snapshots.
Measurement in Funding Account
In the funding account, USDT deposited in the launch pool, Bybit staking, and Bybit staking are automatically included in the wallet snapshot.
Note that USDT deposited in other investment products like dual asset investment or liquidity mining are not included in the measurement.
Measurement in Unified Trading Account (UTA)
In the UTA, wallet balances are measured, which may be affected by realized gains and losses. The snapshot includes all tokens available in the funding account and UTA. Collateral assets are not counted.
For example, if a user collateralizes 100 USDT to borrow $75 worth of BTC, the snapshot for additional lottery tickets will be based on the available balance of 75 USD worth of BTC. For tokens other than USDT, the value is converted to USDT at the closing price (UTC 23:59:59 / Japan time 08:59:59).
Specific Calculation Example
Suppose a user registers a Bybit account on January 15, 2026, and deposits 200 USDT into the funding account every hour. The snapshot records are as follows:
0:00 (UTC): 200 USDT
1:00 (UTC): 400 USDT
2:00 (UTC): 600 USDT
3:00 (UTC): 800 USDT
… (omitted)
23:00 (UTC): 4,800 USDT
The daily average wallet balance for January 15 is calculated as:
Important: USDT deposited in the launch pool, lending, or staking is automatically included in the funding account snapshot. USDT in other investment products is not included.
Snapshots are updated daily at 3:00 UTC (noon Japan time). If there is a large amount of assets, updates may be delayed.
Lottery Tickets and How to Obtain Them
What are Lottery Tickets?
Lottery tickets are used to determine winners in the Launchpad lottery. Participants with winning tickets receive project token allocations.
The maximum number of tickets a user can obtain during each Launchpad event depends on task completion during the measurement period. The more tickets you hold, the higher your chance of winning tokens.
How to Earn More Lottery Tickets
Users participating via USDT commitment can complete various tasks during the measurement period to earn more tickets and increase their chances of winning.
In addition to the initial tickets, you can obtain extra tickets by choosing one of the following methods:
Based on VIP status
Based on asset holdings or trading volume
For example, if a user already has VIP status, they automatically receive 3 additional tickets. However, no extra tickets are awarded based on spot trading volume or average daily asset holdings in this case.
Important info:
VIP rank updates daily at 07:00 UTC (16:00 Japan time)
If you apply for VIP status via premium@bybit.com, review and update takes at least T+1 day
All tasks are displayed on the Launchpad screen during the specific period
Tasks and ticket amounts may change for each Launchpad event
To participate in USDT commitment on Launchpad, participants must meet the minimum requirement of an average daily wallet balance of at least 100 USDT during the measurement period.
How to Calculate Cumulative Spot Trading Volume
Trading Accounts Subject to Measurement
Spot trading, copy trading, grid bots, DCA bots, spot margin and rating, and leveraged tokens’ cumulative spot trading volume are recorded via daily snapshots, including all buy and sell transactions.
Important: API trading and derivatives trading volume are not counted.
Rules for Trading Volume Calculation
For USDT pairs, trading volume is the total of all executed USDT orders. For non-USDT pairs, the volume is converted to USDT at the closing price (23:59:59 UTC).
Specific Calculation Example
Suppose snapshot measurement begins on January 20, 2026 (third day of measurement):
Day 1: User buys BTC worth 100 USDT and sells ETH worth 50 USDT.
Total trading volume: 100 + 50 = 150 USDT
Day 2: User buys MNT worth 100 USDT and sells BTC worth 100 USDT.
Total trading volume: 100 + 100 = 200 USDT
Cumulative trading volume: (150 + 200) = 350 USDT
The cumulative trading volume from 00:00 UTC to 23:59:59 UTC is updated daily at 3:00 UTC. The fractional part is truncated.
Lottery Rules and Winner Selection
Probability of Winning Each Ticket
Each lottery ticket is assigned a random lottery number generated by the lottery protocol (not in order of commitment). Winning numbers are announced after the lottery.
The probability of winning for each ticket is:
Winning probability = Total winning tickets ÷ Total issued tickets × 100%
If you hold multiple winning tickets, you have multiple chances to receive tokens.
Matching Lottery Numbers
Each ticket has a lottery number, and winners are determined based on matching the system-generated winning number. The winning number is a 1-4 digit number. If your ticket’s number matches the announced winning number, you win.
Winners receive the allocated tokens. Unsuccessful commitments are refunded to the funding account. All committed USDT for non-winning tickets are refunded.
Examples of Lottery Matching
Example 1: Two users participate; User A holds a ticket with number 132, User B holds a ticket with number 172. If the winning number is “2,” both users win and receive tokens based on their allocation.
Example 2: User A has ticket 132, User B has ticket 172. If the winning number is “132,” only User A wins and receives tokens.
Example 3: User A has 5 tickets (132, 133, 134, 135, 136), User B has 1 ticket (172). If the winning numbers are “132, 134, 135,” User A wins 3 times, receiving 3 times the token allocation. For example, if each ticket grants 100β, User A receives 300β.
Commitment and Distribution Periods
Commitment Period
During the commitment period, access the Launchpad page, commit at least 100 USDT, and submit all tickets. After committing, you wait for the results.
Distribution Period
After the event ends, winners receive project tokens, and any remaining committed tokens are refunded to the funding account. Non-winners get all their committed tokens refunded.
Example of Distribution
Suppose a new token β is launched, with 1β = 1 USDT. If 80β is allocated (80 USDT), then 80 USDT is deducted from the committed 100 USDT. The remaining 20 USDT (100 - 80) is automatically refunded to the funding account during the distribution period. After the event, winners receive 80β tokens and refunded 20 USDT.
Once tokens are allocated, they are visible immediately in the funding account.
Tokens Received per Ticket
The total token allocation depends on the total prize pool and total tickets. For example, if the total prize pool is 10,000β and there are 1,000 tickets, each ticket is worth 10β (10,000β ÷ 1,000). If you hold 2 winning tickets, you receive 20β.
Important Notices and Disclaimers
After Commitment
Committed USDT is locked up. During the waiting period, it cannot be transferred, withdrawn, or traded.
USDT committed cannot be canceled after commitment; please consider carefully before committing.
Other Important Information
Unfilled orders: If you place a limit sell order in spot trading that is not yet filled, the USDT remains in your balance snapshot.
Listing timing: New spot trading pairs are listed after Bybit listing. Check official channels for updates.
Exchange rates: The USDT to new token exchange rate is displayed directly on the Launchpad page at project start. Check the official page for latest info.
Disclaimers and Prohibitions
Bybit allows only one account per user. Registering multiple accounts to gain additional allocations violates the Terms of Service.
Any such violations may result in immediate suspension and disqualification. Bybit reserves the right to take all necessary actions to comply with laws, including disqualifying related accounts and forcibly closing open positions.
