Guancha News: On February 21, H&M’s largest flagship store in Asia located at Fashion Walk on Paterson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, officially closed. The store has a total area of approximately 47,000 square feet. When it opened in 2015, the monthly rent was as high as 10 million HKD, and it was once a symbol of the brand’s expansion in Asia.
Additionally, H&M’s branch at One City in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong, recently posted a closure notice and an 80% off clearance sale, and will close on February 22, following the Causeway Bay store.
At its peak, H&M operated 13 stores in Hong Kong. After the closure of these two stores, only one store remains at Plaza 66 in Tsim Sha Tsui.
