According to the Ministry of Transport, on February 20th (the 19th day of the Spring Festival travel period, the fourth day of the lunar new year), the total cross-regional population flow was 352.999 million trips, a 12.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025 (February 1st, the fourth day of the lunar new year), setting a new record.
Specifically, road transportation volume was 333.02 million trips, a 12.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Among them, non-commercial passenger trips on expressways and general national and provincial roads totaled 304.84 million trips, a 12.8% increase; commercial road passenger transport volume was 28.18 million trips, a 5.4% increase.
Railway passenger volume was 15.372 million trips, a 14.9% increase; waterway passenger volume was 2.033 million trips, a 38.3% increase; civil aviation passenger volume was 2.574 million trips, an 8.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
