Eastern Company hikes local cigarette prices to EGP 48 - Society - Egypt

Eastern Company, Egypt’s largest tobacco producer, has increased the price of all its locally manufactured cigarettes by EGP4 per pack, bringing the new price to EGP 48, effective Tuesday, 10 February. This price hike is attributed to the implementation of value-added tax provisions and affects a wide range of brands including Cleopatra, Mondial, Boston, Belmont, Matossian, and Switch Menthol and Blueberry. This marks Eastern Company’s first price increase in 2026, following a similar move by Philip Morris earlier in February.
