Tesla (TSLA) late Thursday launched a new base model Cybertruck at $59,990, but CEO Elon Musk says it won’t be available for long. Tesla stock fell slightly Friday morning.
The $59,990 dual-motor all-wheel drive Tesla Cybertruck has cloth seats. It also has reduced towing as well as scaled-down suspension and audiovisual features vs. the $79,990 premium AWD Tesla Cybertruck. Both AWD variants have an estimated range of 325 miles.

The significantly lower price would likely fuel Tesla Cybertruck demand though they could hit already-low margins.
However, Elon Musk, in response to the cheaper Cybertruck, posted on his social site X, “Only for the next 10 days.”
That could mean the specific variant will only be sold for 10 days, or the pricing could change.
Separately, the high-end Cyberbeast variant was cut to $99,990 from $114,990. Tesla also cut the down payment on the premium AWD Cybertruck and the Cyberbeast by $550.
When Musk unveiled the Cybertruck in 2019, the starting price was announced at $39,990, but with a 250-mile range.
Cybertruck sales haven’t come close to Musk’s ambitious sales targets.
More broadly, Tesla deliveries worldwide are likely to be down significantly vs. Q4, with weakness in all its major markets.
