SAIC Motor Corporation and Xinjiang Zhungeer Economic Development Zone Sign Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement

In January 2026, the Xinjiang Zhungdong Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee (hereinafter referred to as “Zhungdong Economic Development Zone”) and SAIC Group subsidiaries SAIC Hongyan and Youdao Zhitu reached a strategic cooperation agreement. After two weeks of continuous in-depth communication, on February 4th, SAIC Group Vice President Zu Sijie led a team to the Xinjiang Zhungdong Economic Development Zone to meet with Meng Xianmin, Director of the Zhungdong Development Zone Management Committee; Wang Dongsheng, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee; Liu Huan, Deputy Supervisor of the Economic Development Bureau; and representatives of various enterprises in Zhungdong. They conducted in-depth exchanges, deepened cooperation details, implemented cooperation content, and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of SAIC Group with the Xinjiang Zhungdong Economic Development Zone.

This strategic cooperation involves multiple key areas including customized intelligent equipment R&D, localized production and assembly, green energy supporting facilities, and maintenance service system construction. Each of these areas is an important driver for Zhungdong’s industrial upgrade. SAIC Hongyan will invest in phases to build an integrated project with an annual capacity of 1,000 autonomous wide-body dump trucks in Zhungdong Development Zone; Youdao Zhitu will establish a regional operation center in Zhungdong Development Zone to serve the entire Xinjiang region.
