It will refuel the “COSCO Shipping Carrier” with 200 tons of green methanol, laying a solid foundation for creating a world-class green shipping hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The dual-fuel methanol bunkering vessel “Daqing 268” is operated by a joint venture under Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales Co., Ltd. It features a dual-fuel system using methanol and traditional fuels, measures 109.9 meters in length, with a deadweight tonnage of 7,500 tons, a total cargo capacity of 10,362 cubic meters, and is capable of transporting and bunkering methanol, biodiesel, fuel oil, and other alternative fuels. Its routes cover the waters of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The green methanol used for bunkering has been certified by ISCC-EU and has undergone carbon traceability testing by international organizations, with a full lifecycle greenhouse gas emission reduction rate exceeding 85%. In the future, the “Daqing 268” will continue to carry out green methanol bunkering operations at multiple ports in the Greater Bay Area, helping to enhance the international shipping service level and the green port competitiveness of the region.
