Today the weather outside was very windy. The original plan was to put up couplets, but I didn't get around to it. Instead, I made potato flour balls at home, filled with pork and green onion. I added Sichuan peppercorns, star anise, soy sauce, thirteen-spice powder, cooking oil, MSG, and salt. I cooked them on high heat for 15 minutes, and they were ready. Unfortunately, I have a bloated stomach and can't eat, but I don't mind missing this meal. My dad just offered me some to eat, but I told him I don't need much because I bought most of the ingredients myself. I was cooking over the fire and ended up burning only half of the cornmeal in the sieve.
Today I went to the town to buy groceries and spent a lot of money. I borrowed 500 yuan from Jiebei again, but since it's the New Year, I have no choice but not to spend money. I can't eat potatoes every day, right?
