On January 31st, CEX founder CZ spoke during an AMA in response to recent market FUD, stating: “If you keep repeating a name to talk about someone or a platform’s bad reputation, you’re actually doing more PR for them and bringing more exposure. When people hear ‘CEX’ repeatedly, whether they are newcomers or seasoned players in the industry, the impression that ‘CEX is the industry’s leading and largest platform’ becomes deeply ingrained in their minds. These accusations—claiming that CEX can cause this or manipulate that—actually make CEX seem incredibly powerful, almost becoming the only platform users need to pay attention to. Many users who originally didn’t use CEX might become curious and come to register and check it out. Take my follower count as an example; it’s a good proof: for almost a whole year, my followers hardly increased. I think Twitter (X)'s algorithm is constantly cleaning up zombie followers, which is a good thing. But recently, the follower growth suddenly accelerated and increased quite rapidly. Most companies are actually not afraid of negative attacks because people have their own judgment. What they fear is being ignored—no one discussing them. And right now, for various reasons, everyone is talking about me, talking about CEX. Once everyone understands more deeply, they will find that this is a good platform, and all of this is ultimately a good thing.”
