The United States announces the latest sanctions against Iran

Odaily Planet Daily News: On January 30th, local time, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) under the U.S. Department of the Treasury issued an announcement updating the sanctions list related to Iran for counter-terrorism and non-proliferation purposes. Several high-ranking individuals from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and law enforcement agencies were added to the "Specially Designated Nationals List" (SDN List). The announcement shows that the newly sanctioned individuals include Revolutionary Guard commanders from multiple provinces, leaders of the Revolutionary Guard intelligence organization, and senior officials of law enforcement agencies. Most of these individuals are also subject to "secondary sanctions." (CCTV News)
