🚫 Project closures continue in the crypto industry.
• In Nifty Gateway, an NFT marketplace owned by Gemini, they announced the platform's closure.
Nifty Gateway's operations will be fully discontinued on February 23, 2026, and the platform has already been transitioned to withdrawal-only mode.
• Crypto startup Entropy, supported by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), also announced its closure and the return of capital to investors.
Over four years, the project failed to find a scalable business model and sustainable demand for its product.
Entropy was launched in 2021, attracting $25m investments from a16z and Coinbase Ventures, and in 2025, it attempted to develop as a platform for crypto automations with AI technologies.
