Ethereum and Bitcoin are both experiencing a frustrating consolidation in narrow ranges. The recent small rebound after approaching the 90,000 mark for Bitcoin quickly lost momentum, with prices oscillating between 89,300 and 90,300 throughout the day. After the US session, it even dipped to 88,500 before stabilizing, currently hovering around 89,500. Similarly, Ethereum just broke above 3,000 but is stuck between 2,970 and 3,040. During the US session, it briefly fell to 2,910, and after a rebound, it has been trading around 2,950, showing no signs of strength.

Last night, the US November PCE data met expectations, and the Federal Reserve is likely to keep interest rates unchanged next week. However, this news did little to boost the crypto market, which lacks core positive catalysts to lift sentiment. From a technical perspective, both Bitcoin and Ethereum have returned to the lower Bollinger Band. The short-term MACD shows slight signs of recovery, but the RSI has flattened with no momentum, indicating that rebounds will likely face resistance.

Bitcoin's key resistance is at 90,400-92,000, with support at 88,000-88,500. Ethereum's resistance is at 3,050-3,150, with support at 2,900. Today, the Japanese Bank of Japan's interest rate decision and US consumer confidence index will be released, which may break the current consolidation. In the short term, it is advisable to stay on the sidelines and avoid rushing into trades.
