In the Web3 space, Vanar is an increasingly smooth and powerful player. It's called smooth for a reason—originally launched as Terra Virtua in 2018, evolving from a VR/AR content platform and NFT digital collectibles to officially transforming into a Layer 1 blockchain in 2023. Every step has been focused on honing core capabilities, ultimately targeting the most imaginative track: "gaming + entertainment." The ambition is clear: to bring the next 3 billion internet users into Web3.

Looking at the team, you understand why they are so confident. Co-founder Gary Bracey has been working in game development for 35 years, not just talking the talk. Even more impressive, the team has recruited former Disney executives. In terms of IP collaborations and entertainment industry resources, these folks definitely have some skills.

On the technical side, Vanar is no joke. It is built on the Ethereum framework, fully compatible with EVM, so developers can migrate projects without any learning curve. Their innovative reputation proof (PoR) combined with a proof of authority (PoA) consensus mechanism is quite sophisticated—only known, trusted entities serve as validators, ensuring security and effectively preventing malicious attacks. Transaction confirmation takes just 3 seconds, with a single transaction fee of only $0.0005. This cost structure is essential for high-frequency microtransactions in gaming and NFT circulation.

The ecosystem truly shows its strength here. In the metaverse product Virtua, users can play interactive games like Jetpack Hyperleague, trade NFT collectibles based on film IPs like "The Godfather" and "Pacific Rim," or buy virtual real estate for socializing. The VGN gaming network emphasizes a "play-to-earn" model, genuinely integrating Web3 incentives with gameplay. These are not just concepts—they are live products.

ngl the 0.0005 gas fee got me hyped but back in my mining days we'd kill for those numbers... still remember when ETH fees hit $200+ per tx, absolute nightmare. anyway if they actually ship all this and not just vaporware like 90% of layer 1s, vanar could be something real

35 years of game development experience plus Disney executives, this setup is really impressive. But speaking of which, is the goal of 3 billion users a bit ambitious?

Wow, Terra Virtua really hasn't wasted its efforts along the way. From NFTs to public chains and then to gaming ecosystems, this pace has got me hooked.

Ternary Stack is really awesome. From VR to public chains, it has never dropped the ball along the way.

The PoR+PoA consensus mechanism's core logic is whitelist validators... but isn't this just shifting the risk from technology to governance? Who decides who is trustworthy and who isn't?

Really, from Terra Virtua all the way to Layer 1, this step is taken with a steady rhythm, unlike some projects that shoot randomly. With 35 years of game development experience plus Disney executive background, this team definitely has some real skills; their IP resources are not just talk. But to be fair, a $0.0005 transaction fee sounds reasonable, but whether it can truly support the traffic of 3 billion users depends on subsequent operations... Virtua's product matrix looks pretty good. The "play and earn" model is now everywhere, but the key is how to truly retain users instead of just taking their money and running.
