【Blockchain Rhythm】On-chain data shows that a well-known BTC whale (address bc1q8g) has just made a new move. This whale purchased 2,000 Bitcoins three months ago at a cost of $109,759 per coin, with a total investment of $219.5 million. On January 21, it transferred this large position to a wallet of a major exchange.
This doesn’t sound very good. The market value of these 2,000 BTC has now dropped to $178.7 million, a loss of $40.8 million compared to the purchase price. If the whale actually sells at this point, it would mean locking in a significant loss. However, it’s also possible that it is just reallocating or waiting for a better price. Large on-chain transfers often serve as market signals, and the whale’s next move is worth watching.

Whales entering the exchange just want to dump and cut off us retail investors, the little guys.

Still risking so much to transfer to the exchange? Are you really cutting losses or just scaring retail investors?

A $40.8 million loss hole, how low must this health factor be? Moving to another exchange is just one signal, more people will be hurt later.
