Rumble and Tether collaborate to build digital payment solutions for content creators

A new milestone in the crypto payment industry has been achieved as Rumble introduces an integrated e-wallet on its video streaming platform. This tool offers a completely new experience for users: viewers can directly support content creators through digital assets without going through intermediaries such as traditional banks, advertising platforms, or third-party payment companies. This opens up a new revenue stream for content creators and brings digital payments into everyday content viewing activities.

Strategic partnership between the two companies creates a new product

Behind this launch is a collaboration between Rumble Inc. and Tether, the issuer of the well-known stablecoin USDT. The new wallet is built on a non-custodial architecture, ensuring users always retain full control over their assets. Since its launch, Rumble Wallet supports three main digital assets: Bitcoin, USDT, and Tether Gold (XAUt).

A key feature of this solution is its deep integration into the Rumble platform. Video viewers can send tips to content creators using crypto directly during viewing, without leaving the website. For creators, this means reducing dependence on traditional income streams such as advertising or external payment services. Funds from viewers are transferred directly to creators, speeding up payments and reducing transaction costs.

Tether’s WDK technology is the development platform

The Rumble wallet is built on the (Wallet Development Kit - WDK) developed by Tether. This is the first time WDK has been applied at a large scale in practice. Tether designed WDK to help platforms build their own wallets without needing to send user assets to centralized custodians.

Chris Pavlovski, founder and CEO of Rumble, stated that this move reflects the company’s commitment to user choice and freedom of expression. According to him, the goal is to give more control to content creators and viewers, allowing them to decide how to support and fund content.

Notably, in October, Rumble tested a Bitcoin tipping feature at the Lugano PlanB event in Switzerland, enabling creators to earn revenue directly from viewers.

MoonPay and Tether jointly support operational infrastructure

For Tether, the launch of Rumble Wallet marks their first public reveal of their wallet technology. Paolo Ardoino, Tether’s CEO, shared that this project connects digital payments with user ownership and control, even in a heavily regulated market like the United States. Additionally, Tether continues to lead in crypto innovation, recently releasing Scudo — a unit of value equivalent to 1/1000 ounce of gold, making XAUT transactions more flexible.

MoonPay will handle all crypto deposit and withdrawal functions for Rumble Wallet users. This allows users to easily convert between cryptocurrencies and traditional payment methods such as credit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, or Venmo. Ivan Soto-Wright from MoonPay commented that peer-to-peer payments with digital assets are increasingly popular on online platforms. The deployment of Rumble Wallet not only provides a new payment option but also maintains transaction immediacy for content creators.
