Walrus does not have its own public chain but instead parasitizes on Sui.

This is the smartest decision.
Sui handles accounting (Metadata), while Walrus is responsible for storing data (Blobs).
The white paper refers to this as the separation of the "Control Plane" and the "Data Plane."
Result? Sui's high TPS + Walrus's large capacity = a perfect Web3 experience. 🤝
