#美国非农就业数据未达市场预期 Inflation devours fiat currencies, trade barriers tighten, but two sanctioned countries have found the same "backdoor"—surprisingly, the lifeline is neither gold nor Bitcoin, but what seems to be the most ordinary stablecoin.

The Impact of Reality

In Iran, the local currency, the rial, continues to depreciate, prompting citizens to rush into the crypto market to hedge against asset devaluation. But the truly alarming story is behind the scenes: since 2023, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has been secretly transferring over $1 billion worth of stablecoins through shell companies in the UK, building an underground financial transportation line. Even when the largest exchange faced a hacker attack in 2025 and the government imposed emergency restrictions, the underground capital outflow continued unabated.

The scenario in Venezuela is even more direct—markets and gas stations, USDT has long become a more stable circulating currency than the local currency. Even more shocking is that since 2020, the state oil company PDVSA has been settling crude oil transactions directly in USDT, carving out a gap in the tightly controlled sanctions web.

Stablecoins are thus playing a dual role: serving as a "lifesaver" for ordinary people and as a "breakout tool" for nations. As regulatory pressure looms in 2026, this double-edged coin is quietly reshaping the landscape of global financial power.

What do you think? Is it a savior in chaotic times, or a hidden risk embedded within the financial system?

Stablecoins are truly amazing. They've gone from being a lifesaver to a lubricant for geopolitical issues. Regulations really can't keep up.

This wave of stablecoins is truly amazing; even at the national level, they are using them. Do regulators still want to block them?

Stablecoins are really amazing; the cake has already been eaten, and only then did the regulators react.

Stablecoins are the real game-changer. Bitcoin's hype has been blown out of proportion, but when it really counts, we still have to rely on USDT to save the day.
