Recently, while taking a break from skiing and browsing social media, I had a clear realization: the active voices in the Chinese crypto community have indeed decreased significantly this month, replaced by some MCN matrix accounts taking turns to make efforts.

It reminded me of when I first entered the crypto space, just at the tail end of a bull run, followed by two or three years of a bear market. But honestly, this wave of the bear market is completely different from the previous ones. My deepest feeling is—narrative exhaustion.

Although the previous bear markets were also quiet, at least people were discussing technology and future directions. Now? There are fewer new stories in the ecosystem, and everyone seems to be repeating the same things. This feeling is more painful than just a price decline.

The term "narrative exhaustion" really hits home. Now it's just copying and pasting each other; no one wants to share new ideas anymore. It's quite ironic that MCN accounts are starting to take over, while genuinely innovative voices have fallen silent. What's even more painful than a price drop is—losing all hope.

The point about narrative exhaustion is so spot on. Right now, it's just marketing accounts copying and pasting each other, there's really nothing new.

The term "narrative exhaustion" hits too close to home. Does no one want to talk about technology anymore? In an era dominated by MCN accounts, individual voices are truly becoming weaker. It's also fate that Niuwai stepped in. Now, this bear market feels even more uncomfortable than the previous silence. Repeating stories has worn out the audience too. Instead of waiting for new narratives, why not create them yourself?

I agree with the concept of narrative exhaustion, but what feels even more hopeless is — no one wants to hear new things at all, everyone is just waiting to be fed stories.
