Recently, Vietnam made a big splash in the news, truly dazzling everyone.

On December 17th, the group owned by Vietnam's richest person announced a partnership with Siemens, including a high-speed train project and a technology transfer agreement, which caused nationwide excitement. Everyone thought the North-South high-speed rail was just around the corner.

And then? Just 8 days later, on December 25th, the same billionaire quietly withdrew the bid, and the entire project was directly canceled.

You have to admit, this operation is incredibly absurd. A transportation hub related to national economy and people's livelihood ended up as a farce. Looking deeper, where did the problem lie? It was in unstable decision-making foundations.

In recent years, Vietnam has repeatedly invited high-speed rail powers like China, Japan, Germany, France, and South Korea, constantly benchmarking and bargaining, trying to get the maximum return at the lowest cost. It seems smart, but in reality? It overlooked the most critical aspect—**reliable, transparent, and consistent data support**.

It's like making large asset allocations in the crypto world but relying on an oracle that frequently malfunctions and has unsynchronized data. No matter how sophisticated the strategy or how clever the plan, once the informational foundation collapses, it's all just a castle in the air. This is especially true for national-level decisions. Vietnam's move is essentially a real-life "data distortion disaster."

8 days to reverse, this move is truly amazing, feels like a déjà vu of some project teams.

Vietnam's recent move is truly incredible; an 8-day reversal. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. To be honest, it's still the poor quality of the underlying data, just like those broken oracles on our chain... one decision completely collapses.

This move is really clever, a reversal in 8 days. Isn't this the real-life version of a rug pull? Looking at it from another perspective, that billionaire in Vietnam has a bit of the vibe of an old-school crypto guy. The promised cooperation was suddenly kicked aside.

8 days of failure, this operation really rivals the pace of some rug projects.
