Is there a way to succeed without relying on the economy or modeling?
Of course there is.
This is the approach I use.
Because I am a typical case of not being good-looking and not having much money.
The core of this approach is “self-care + authenticity + fun + generosity.”
Self-care means, even without plastic surgery, keeping yourself clean. If your appearance scores 10, I’d objectively rate myself a 3. The main reason is my height of 179 cm, which is just passable, so looking well-groomed is very important. Fixing your hair, matching outfits, and of course, daily fitness—big belly is truly the most greasy part for middle-aged men.
Authenticity means being absolutely genuine and not deceiving: from my perspective, going out with a wedding ring and openly admitting I’m married.
Fun means adding joy to life and various aspects—whether with friends or family. Last night, my wife and I had a cold war because I came home late the day before. Later, I played online games with her for 3 hours and had fun.
Generosity doesn’t mean throwing money around; it’s about truly not being stingy. This isn’t about women, but about everyone around me. For me, brothers’ money should definitely be much more than what so-called women have. Being generous is a kind of temperament. When I only had 200,000 yuan left, I still dared to spend 30,000 yuan in one night to treat friends to drinks because I believed I could earn it back tomorrow. But being generous doesn’t mean being a fool who throws money around. When it comes to money, I negotiate at market prices. If it’s not about money, then there’s a different approach.
Actually, at 35 this year, I feel my male hormones have decreased a lot. Every time I go out with friends, although there are many top beauties, I feel no excitement inside. Seeing my brothers still acting like little Teddies, I genuinely envy them.
And in my heart, I can only silently say: “Erectile dysfunction is the greatest blessing for middle-aged men.”
