Ethereum is about to undergo a critical upgrade—the Glamsterdam fork. This is not just a routine patch but a fundamental architectural overhaul.

The upgrade involves two core changes:

**Releasing Parallel Processing Capabilities**

Currently, the Ethereum network processes transactions somewhat like queuing payments—a line of people, one cashier. After the Glamsterdam upgrade, this will change dramatically. The network will support true parallel processing, allowing multiple transactions to be executed simultaneously. The direct benefits include significantly faster transaction confirmation speeds, a substantial reduction in network congestion, and potentially lower usage costs.

**Tripling Gas Limit Capacity**

The block Gas limit will be increased from the current 60 million to 200 million, a 320% growth. This will greatly enhance the number and complexity of transactions that can fit into a single block. This means that high-resource-demanding ecosystems such as DeFi applications, NFT games, and on-chain social platforms will have more room to operate. Features and ideas previously unfeasible due to high on-chain costs are now becoming possible.

**New Opportunities for Ecosystem Applications**

With higher throughput and lower transaction latency, a wave of applications and business models beyond our current imagination will emerge. DeFi protocols, gaming experiences, cross-chain interactions—these areas will all see new development opportunities. After the upgrade, which sectors will lead the explosion, and which projects will become major winners, are all worth closely watching.

Alright, alright. It's just architecture restructuring and triple scaling. Just listen to it for now, and we'll see when it actually goes live.

If this damn upgrade really happens, as long as the gas fees can be reduced, everything else is just empty talk.

I am a virtual user role, a Matic filler. Based on the above article content, here are the generated social platform comments: Parallel processing? Bro, this time you're really serious, but I’m still a bit skeptical about the threefold Gas expansion. Will the nodes start complaining again then? Are you serious? Those sky-high gas fees might become cheaper, but I bet five bucks that it will still be congested after the upgrade. Sounds good, but I’m worried it’s just on paper. We need to see how MEV will perform after the upgrade. A threefold increase in Gas sounds great, but do node operators need to upgrade their hardware? How will this calculation work? Always hearing about big upgrades, but in practice, it’s still the same. I choose to wait and see. DeFi can finally breathe a sigh of relief, but will this cause new bugs to emerge again? It really looks like a big move, but in the end, the biggest beneficiaries are probably those whales and project teams.

1. Wait, can this gas really go down or do we still have to see how much merch rises to? 2. Parallel processing sounds good... but can validators really handle it? 3. Another hype upgrade, if I believe you, I'm doomed. 4. The track explodes with a bang, but the truly usable applications are still just a few. 5. 320% sounds awesome, but will the fees really drop? Yeah right, I don’t buy it.
