What does the weekend market look like? One word: dull.

The overall market is like it's sleeping, funds are either on holiday or hiding in inconspicuous corners, entertaining themselves. Institutions are resting, major players are not active, and the entire market is stuck in a low-liquidity sideways consolidation. It may seem uninteresting, but that's exactly where the most interesting part lies—during this "garbage time," those coins that suddenly plunge or rise against the trend are the real signals revealing where the funds are flowing.

**The market is still dreaming**

Bitcoin (BTC) hovers around $87,000, neither wanting to go up nor down, just oscillating narrowly. Ethereum (ETH) is similar, around $2,900. The total cryptocurrency market cap barely stays above $3 trillion, but honestly, this market is more boring than ever. The overall rhythm is similar to the Christmas period, just with significantly lower participation.

**Which coins are causing trouble?**

Although the market is quiet, there are still some movements—these data are as of the morning of December 28:

ONT performed the strongest: down over 11% in 24 hours, forming a typical bottoming pattern. This reckless selling must be driven by someone eager to clear out positions.

TRU moved in the opposite direction: up over 10% against the trend, showing clear signs of bottoming out and rebounding, indicating buying interest is waiting to scoop up.

ONG, ZEN, and others are also not resting: they all experienced 5%-6% surges followed by pullbacks, classic signals of short-term speculative funds retreating.

**What should I do?**

My advice is straightforward: if the market has no direction, don’t move recklessly.

Ordinary investors? Just play it safe and take a holiday. Forced trading only adds to exchange fees, better to spend time pondering what new market narratives might emerge next year.

For those impatient short-term traders: if you must participate, focus on coins like ONT and TRU with abnormal movements. Their trends are like market thermometers, revealing where the funds are active. But be clear—this isn’t trend trading, it’s speed and risk management. Set tighter stop-losses than usual, enter and exit quickly, and never let yourself get trapped.

**Waiting for the next wave**

The market’s pattern is like this: heading toward an end in madness, gaining new life in despair, and during moments of hesitation like today, the market is quietly gathering strength. Now is not the time for FOMO, but for checking your tools, preparing your ammunition, and waiting for the next opportunity.

The weekend is dull, BTC is sleeping peacefully at 87k, and I am in a state of awake sleep. ONT directly dumped 11%, this round of clearing positions is very clear. TRU reversed and rose 10%, the funds are playing psychological warfare. With no direction in the market, I prefer to honestly take a break. Instead of reckless trading, it's better to fight again next year. This kind of dead time is actually about accumulating strength; patience is the key.

Bored? This is the best opportunity to buy the dip. I have already added ONT to my full position. Retail investors waiting to cry, get ready.

Weekends are for staying low, but the problem is you guys are still watching the charts... BTC is just sleeping at 87k, lying flat all day, this is the real time to make money. If ONT drops like this, it’s either big players clearing out or setting a trap for bagholders. Instead of messing around blindly, it’s better to take a break and recharge. Next year is the real battlefield. TRU’s countertrend surge definitely means big moves are coming, we must keep a close eye. The most testing times are during dead periods; not moving is the true winner. Don’t be fooled by these false spikes; it’s just short-term funds playing tricks. Wait for the next real opportunity, and now is the time to set stop-losses properly. This kind of market is best for thinking, not trading. The market is accumulating, and we should also rest.

That's how weekends are—doing nothing is the right way, staying bored until the end of time.

Is this it for the weekend? Sitting at 87k and just consolidating, I'm really bored. On the other hand, tokens like ONT that get dumped are actually more interesting.
